In the 50's and 60's a group of scientists got together to figure out how to create a spaceship that could take people to Saturn and back in a reasonable amount of time. It was called Project Orion and the video below is a speech by the son of one of the scientists.
Even if you're not a science buff you might enjoy the video for the humor and insight into a time in the past when possibilities seemed endless.
