Houston, Do We Have a Problem?

Wayne Hale is a former NASA space shuttle programmer manager.  He's still at NASA and actually blogs on the NASA site.   

Recently Wayne posted an interesting article on the problems NASA is having with handling new ideas that are cropping up during the design and development of the next generation of spacecraft.  It's a great post and I encourage you to read the post, but if you don't have the time you should at least look at the video below.  

Some of the folks working as contractors are having their ideas suppressed and created this video to get the word out.  Maybe you're not a fan of space exploration (gasp!), but maybe you can relate to this frustration at your workplace.  Kudos to the employees for thinking out of the box and getting this video out there.  Hopefully NASA will turn this around and let innovation take place.
