Dark Matter Propulsion

The other night I was discussing a fascinating topic with someone.  If dark matter exists in the universe then could we use it for propulsion?  It's an interesting idea.  Jet airplanes burn petroleum based fuel, but require the air that gets sucked in for the combustion process.  Could dark matter be the "air" in a new interstellar propulsion device?

I couldn't find many resources on this yet.  Probably it's because we're still trying to figure out dark matter.  This was the best site I could find that seemed recent.  Enjoy.
